Liza Anonymousthe feature film is based on the 11 minute short film, Liza Anonymous written by Leah McKendrick, Directed by Aubrey Smyth, executive produced by and starring Danielle Beckmann, and produced by katie rosin and daniel ornitz.

The short premiered at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival and went on to screen at Indy Shorts and Austin Film Festival among other Academy Award Qualifying Festivals.

In August of 2021, Liza Anonymous was selected for the Tribeca Drive-In to play at the Rosebowl in Los Angeles, CA.

In January of 2026, Liza Anonymous was selected to screen at the exclusive Tribeca Screening Room for the announcement of the “Best New York Short award” for the 25th anniversary of Tribeca.

the short is now available to watch on directv, and the feature film is currently in development with leah mckendrick and danielle beckmann.

Liza Anonymous follows Liza, a lonely millennial addicted to support groups who disguises herself in elaborately crafted personas on a quest to find her people. But when she discovers that the façade can only take her so far, she must confront her generational trauma to find real wholeness.
