“I’ve never had friends like you…”

Liza Anonymous the feature film is based on the 12 minute short film, Liza Anonymous written by Leah McKendrick, executive produced by and starring Danielle Beckmann.

The short premiered at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival and went on to screen at Indy Shorts Film Festival and Austin Film Festival among other Academy Award Qualifying Festivals. In August of 2021, Liza Anonymous was selected for the Tribeca Drive-In to play at the Rosebowl in Los Angeles, CA.

The award-winning short has screened at over 20 festivals internationally, and the team is excited to share that the feature film under the same name is currently in development.

Liza Anonymous follows Liza, a lonely millennial addicted to support groups who disguises herself in elaborately crafted personas on a quest to find her people. But when she discovers that the façade can only take her so far, she must confront her generational trauma to find real wholeness.
